Breakfast with the Bishop – October 2024
2024 Breakfast with the Bishop
The 13th annual Breakfast with the Bishop reached remarkable milestones, setting records for both attendance – welcoming over 425 guests – and funds raised to support food-insecure families across the DFW area. A heartfelt thank you to Bishop Burns, Bishop Kelly, and the incredible Catholic Charities team for their unwavering dedication, ensuring the event’s continued success. Well done!
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Jonathan J. Sanford, President of the University of Dallas, delivered an inspiring address on personal values, faith, education, and commitment. He highlighted the transformative power of a classical education in fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and compassion, essential tools for making the world a better place.
A special congratulations to Archangels President Mark Koch, honored as this year’s Archangel of the Year. “Mark has led the way for all of us in supporting the ministries of CCD,” shared Dave Woodyard, CEO of Catholic Charities Dallas.

Service Project: Dressers for St. Mary’s Shelter
In addition to hosting Breakfast with the Bishop, we kicked off our first volunteer project of the year, focusing on furniture restoration to support the CCD Mission for unaccompanied refugee minors. The Archangels worked diligently to sand and refinish dressers for children staying at St. Mary’s Shelter.
