Serving those in Need. Advocating for the Voiceless. Empowering the Vulnerable.
Motivated by the teachings and love of Jesus Christ, Catholic Charities of Dallas serves, advocates for, and empowers people in need regardless of race, religion, age, gender, or national origin and calls the community to action.
Since the first orphanage was built in Dallas in 1891, these values based on the principles of Catholic Social Teaching have guided our staff, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders in bringing hope to people in our community.
We passionately join forces with Catholic Charities USA, the Texas Catholic Conference, the Diocese of Dallas Pastoral Center, parishes and Catholic entities and other community social services partner agencies to provide programs designed to cut poverty and destructive forces that it creates in the family and community at large.
