John brings a wealth of program management experience in non-profits and the public sector to the role of Director of Disaster Preparedness & Relief Services. He joined Catholic Charities after more than 15 years in government service with the U.S. Department of State. John’s international experience includes program management in U.S. embassies in Moscow, Russia; Nairobi, Kenya; Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia; and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. He has a bachelor’s degree in Russian from the University of Tennessee and a master’s in Public Policy from Pepperdine University. A father of five daughters, John enjoys clock and watchmaking, cooking and is a huge baseball fanatic.
