Around 1,000 Guests Attended the 27th Annual Bishop’s Gala Hosted by Catholic Charities Dallas at the Omni Dallas Hotel.

DALLAS – January 30, 2025 – Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD) hosted their 27th Annual Bishop’s Gala at the Omni Dallas Hotel on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Over 1,000 attendees enjoyed live music from The Beach Boys and participated in live and silent auctions to raise funds benefiting thousands of clients within CCD’s nine-county service area. Last year alone, CCD provided services, resources, and education to over 181,000 individuals through the collective efforts of CCD’s staff, thousands of volunteers, and other nonprofit collaborators.

Lynn and Win Bell and Mary and Mike Terry served as the 27th Annual Bishop’s Gala Co-Chairs. CCD was honored to have Marriane and Roger Staubach serve as Honorary Chairs.

“Catholic Charities is a lifeline for our community,” said Mary and Mike Terry. “They meet needs expansively, effectively, and in a way that honors the dignity of people. What a privilege to be a part of their work alongside so many other supporters at this year’s Bishop’s Gala. For it to be a record-breaking night is a testament to the mission itself!”

Lynn and Win Bell added, “We are honored to serve as co-chairs of the Bishop’s Gala and support the incredible mission of Catholic Charities Dallas. CCD’s dedication to uplifting those in need through their vital programs is truly inspiring, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help further their impact in our community.”

As the largest fundraising event for CCD, this year’s Bishop’s Gala raised over $3 million- a more than 20% increase over last year’s record high. These funds will continue to support CCD’s more than 39 programs and eleven missions of service, including care for seniors and unaccompanied minors, financial literacy, education, healthcare, hunger, immigration, adoption, refugee resettlement, disaster, and homeless services.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the overwhelming support we received at the Bishop’s Gala this year. It was a record-breaking year, and it truly shows the heart of this community,” said Dave Woodyard, president and CEO of CCD. “We have so many to serve, so much more work to do, and thus it is so incredibly gratifying to know that our community is in full support of our many missions. We truly appreciate all!”
