September 2021
Hi!
I’m Kelsey Stanley, Volunteer Program Manager at Catholic Charities Dallas.
Fall is here and we are busier than ever at Catholic Charities Dallas. Here are some highlights this month:
- We are hosting a Citizenship Workshop on Saturday, September 18th from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM at Cardinal Ferrell Community Center. You will help by screening potential applicants, assisting clients in completing the citizenship form, and preparing packets for mailing.
- We continuously need volunteers at Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos. Please, if available, consider helping our on-site staff Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11AM. Even if you know someone who would be interested and available, please send them to our volunteer page.
Still haven’t heard something that catches your attention? Not to worry! There are many more opportunities posted on our volunteer page or you can email volunteer@ccdallas.org.
St John Paul II reminds us that “Solidarity is not a feeling of vague compassion or shallow distress at the misfortunes of so many people, both near and far.
On the contrary, it is a firm and persevering determination to commit oneself to the common good; that is to say, to the good of all and of each individual, because we are all really responsible for all.”
Let us all reflect upon the gifts God has given us and make a commitment together to the common good of our North Texas communities. We look forward to serving with you – YOU make our work possible!
