It’s a new year, and we are not slowing down! Last weekend, we celebrated with many of you at the 26th Annual Bishop’s Gala. It was a wonderful evening raising money for our missions, and we are so thankful to everyone who played a part in the success of the evening.
I’m also thrilled to share that we have officially added another program to our Parenting, Pregnancy, and Adoption mission. Mater Filius Dallas and Catholic Charities have formalized an agreement that will continue the unique and loving services established by founders Marthalicia and Javier Burkle nearly ten years ago under a new name, Mater Maria. Rooted in Catholic tradition, Mater Maria offers provisional housing, meals, transportation, and education to pregnant women who find themselves unhoused without any means of support.
With our new partnership, the mothers have increased access to a broader range of assistance, including CCD’s missions servicing hunger, workforce development, housing, rental assistance, and more.
At Mater Maria, expectant mothers discover the rewards of motherhood and come to realize that their child is truly a gift from God. It’s the perfect partnership! I invite you to be part of our newest program and change the lives of mothers and babies by making a gift to Mater Maria today.
