I hope you are having a wonderful summer and creating memories with your loved ones. The CCD Development team has been busy preparing for our upcoming events, and I would love to share more information with you.
The Archangels Men’s Network is hosting their annual Breakfast with the Bishop on Thursday, October 3, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish Center. This is one of my favorite events as it combines fellowship and food while supporting one of our incredible missions, hunger services.
This year, our keynote speaker is Dr. Jonathan Sanford, the 10th president of the University of Dallas. Of course, we will also hear inspirational remarks from Bishop Burns and Bishop Kelly as well as the CCD team. I hope you will join us! Speaking of events, have you saved the date for our 27th annual Bishop’s Gala on January 25? This is CCD’s largest fundraiser, and our goal is to raise over $2 million dollars that will directly benefit our 11 missions and over 39 programs.
We are so thankful to our Co-chairs, Lynn and Wynn Bell, and Mary and Mike Terry for their leadership. It is going to be an incredible evening filled with good vibrations and we are going to have Fun, Fun, Fun thanks to the Beach Boys who will be performing live that night! Now is the perfect time to get around to purchasing your gala table because God only knows if we’ll run out of space at the Omni this year!
We are forming our event committees – if you are looking for a way to get involved in the planning process, we would love your help! If you want to serve on the Auction Committee or the Underwriting Committee, please email me, and I’ll send you more information. Volunteer opportunities will be available in the next couple of months.
