June 2024
Aside from the debris and bundled up branches still waiting for pick up, my neighborhood has returned to “normal” for the most part after the May storms. Thankfully, I had the resources to find someone to repair my damaged fence, and as of a few weeks ago, I can gratefully say that my home is back intact.
And while I am incredibly thankful to be able to move on, I know that many of our neighbors still face critical needs after the recent and severe storms. Despite power being restored and clean-up continuing, it’s important to remember that crises like unexpected home repairs are a financial burden for many, even with home insurance.
Catholic Charities is committed to supporting those in our community who are still struggling by providing financial support for temporary housing, home repair costs, insurance deductibles, and more.
CCD stands strong with our neighbors long after the storm clouds have passed. In fact, you may have heard us refer to ourselves as the “third responders”. That’s because we are here for the long-haul to offer ongoing support as families navigate the aftermath of disasters.
As always, we can’t do it alone. We need your help. Please support Catholic Charities Dallas and help people affected by storms, flooding, and countless other crises by making a financial donation today.
Your gift allows CCD to prepare for, respond to, and help people recover from disasters – big and small.
If you are in need, please call us at 866-CCD-7500.
If you can help others, please give at CCDallas.org/storms.
On behalf of all those we will serve with your generous gifts and kindness, thank you! I hope to hear from you soon. Until then, take care, and God bless.
