Volunteer Coordinator – Development – Dallas, TX

Catholic Charities Dallas is looking for a Voluntee r Coordinator to join our team . You will be working on the Development team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Volunteer Engagement

You will work with agency staff to assess volunteer needs and develop a plan to effectively engage community volunteers to meet those needs.

Relationship Management

You will manage volunteer relations for the agency, ensuring a positive volunteer experience for all and work with development to cultivate deeper relationships with volunteers.

Volunteer Appreciation

You will manage and organize all volunteer appreciation activities culminating in an annual volunteer appreciation event.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in volunteer management
  • Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Experience creating and implementing volunteer programs and training
  • Strong sense of urgency and customer service skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and community relations and outreach
  • Experience with Volunteer Hub a plus
  • Proven organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and produce high quality results quickly
  • Collaborative style that fosters workplace excellence and mutual staff support
  • Highly motivated; able to work independently and as part of a team and with energy, optimism and persistence

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Catholic Charities Dallas offers a variety of benefits to our staff including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Our employees can participate in a retirement plan with an employer contribution after one year of employment. Paid Time Off (PTO) allows employees the flexibility to take time off as they need and we have a generous holiday schedule. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $20.00 to 22.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
