Together We’re Better
Together We’re Better (TWB) is a mobile parenting and early learning program designed to promote nurturing and caring parents focused on the early education of their children.
After School Program
Our Afterschool program is focused on building the reading skills of underserved students in grade levels pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.
Summer Camp
This 8-week summer camp focuses on building reading and swimming skills in kindergarten through 7th grade students. Our summer camp also provides science and math activities through our partnership with the Perot Museum.
Together We Read
Together We Read (TWR) is a dual purpose program focused on helping parents build English proficiency skills while also equipping them to be effective reading coaches for their school age children.

Cardinal Farrell Community Center
The Cardinal Farrell Community Center is committed to providing high quality educational programs to families in West Dallas and surrounding communities.
Program hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Accreditations
Cardinal Farrell Community Center is a certified Texas School Ready early learning center. Texas School Ready is a comprehensive preschool teacher training program combining a research-based, state-adopted curriculum with ongoing professional development and progress monitoring tools. The goal of this program is to help children be better prepared for school.
Our Programs
Together We Learn
Together We Learn (TWL) is a dual generation educational program serving young children under the age of 5 and their parents. TWL is a 5-day a week, high quality early learning program focused on maximizing the educational potential of every young child through engaging literacy based lessons and activities. The program is Texas School Ready certified with experienced and qualified early childhood teachers who are responsive to the comprehensive needs of young children and empower parents for school advocacy, proficiency of the English language and workforce skills.
Together We’re Better
Together We’re Better (TWB) is a mobile 16-week program focused on equipping parents of children under five with the necessary parenting tools, hands-on literacy experiences, case management, and free basic needs (diapers and food) to ensure a healthy and positive parent-child relationship. TWB works with families to establish a strong foundation for early literacy and school success. There are currently 12 TWB locations across Dallas, Collin, Ellis, and Kaufman counties.
After School Program
The After School Program is focused on building the reading skills of underserved students in grade levels pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. Each student can receive up to 480 minutes of academic support each week. Academic support is focused on homework assistance, and more importantly, effective reading interventions.
Summer Camp
An 8-week enrichment and academic support program serving up to 200 parents and students in kindergarten through 7th grade. This program focuses on providing students with engaging activities focused on building strong reading skills in addition to building water safety and swimming skills. Science and math activities are provided through our partnership with the Perot Museum.
Program Impact
Our Educational Services at Catholic Charities Dallas are committed to answering the call for high-quality literacy programs with a dual-generation approach. Through intentional program design, we have established impactful literacy programs currently serving 12 communities across the counties of Dallas, Collin, and Kaufman. It is our mission to partner with parents to build a strong literacy foundation for their families to help lead both generations toward a promising future. Together we are building a stronger community.
