Archangels Service Project – October 2023
Looking Back
Service Project: Cardinal Farrell
We kicked off the year in October with a major upgrade to the Cardinal Farrell Center in South Oak Cliff. The Archangels along with Dave Woodyard, CEO of Catholic Charities Dallas, provided a much-needed grounds cleanup and beautification with new stones and crushed granite. As you can see from the pictures, we removed old and dying shrubbery and replaced the overgrown areas with crushed granite and river rock. The grounds will now be easier to maintain and safer for the children and parents who attend classes onsite.
22nd Annual Hope for the Holidays – November 2023
Hope for the Holidays
Immediately afterward, the Archangels went into full holiday mode and supported our sister auxiliary group, the Angels of Charity, with their annual Hope for the Holidays event, which raises funds to provide Christmas gifts for over 700 families in need each year. The Archangels were able to assist with parking and direction support and were also able to take part in the festivities. It was a fun and successful evening!
Christmas Distribution – December 2023
Christmas Distribution
The Angels of Charity carried this momentum into December with an incredible gift distribution program. Hundreds of families collected Christmas gifts for their children from CCD staff members and volunteers at the Cardinal Farrell Community Center. The Archangels helped direct long lines of traffic and ensure all client families safely and successfully received their gifts. Every year, the Archangels are more and more blessed to support the Angels, who run this program so well and with such grace. Together, we are doing amazing work!
26th Annual Bishop’s Gala – January 2024
26th Annual Bishop’s Gala
The 2024 Bishop’s Gala, celebrating and supporting the great work of Catholic Charities, was outstanding on so many levels. The Temptations and the Four Tops provided some lively entertainment for over 1,000 guests, and everyone lent a helping hand to raise the funds needed to continue CCD’s mission of hope. Thank you to all who supported the event!

Networking Happy Hour

On February 28, 2024, all Archangels, Angels of Charity, and members of the Dallas Chapter of Young Catholic Professionals are invited to a Networking Happy Hour from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at St. Jude Park Central (8102 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Dallas, TX 75251). Learn more about joining a mentorship program with Catholic young adults in the Dallas area while enjoying complimentary drinks and exploring Co-Work & Coffee, a brand-new concept supporting the residents at the St. Jude Center. Archangel Coffee Meetup
Once per quarter | 7:00 a.m.
All Archangels are invited to join the Archangel board members for coffee and donuts at CCD’s new Co-Work & Coffee space at St. Jude Park Central (8102 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Dallas, TX 75251). This is a great opportunity to stay connected, network and visit, and see firsthand some of the great work CCD does every day. Our next Archangel Coffee Meetup will take place on April 9. Come meet your fellow Archangels and learn more about how to get involved!

Wednesday, May 1, 2024 | 5:30 p.m.
Save the date for our next Archangels Happy Hour, which will take place on Wednesday, May 1, at ODD Muse Brewing Co. These fun gatherings are an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow members and stay up to date on all the latest Archangel updates.
Our next Archangel Happy Hour will also double as a pairings party for the Archangels Cup. Come get to know your teammates before the tournament!
2nd Annual Archangels Cup – May 2023
3rd Annual Archangels Cup
Monday, May 6, 2024 | 7:00 a.m.
Join us at the Golf Club of Dallas on Monday, May 6, 2024, for our 3rd Annual Archangels Cup! Two teams of 36 players will compete in a Ryder Cup format tournament. We will kick off the tournament in the morning and end with lunch at the Clubhouse.
The event is free and includes carts, green fees, driving range access, hats, breakfast, lunch, beverages, and prizes. All donations will be gladly accepted and will support Catholic Charities Dallas’ Hunger Program.
Last year, the Archangels raised over $25,000 and helped provide over 130,000 meals for families in need across North Texas. This year, we ask that you help us go above and beyond to meet our goal of $50,000, which will provide 250,000 meals for food-insecure families in our community.

Mission
The Archangels Men’s Network is a social and service network of men across the Diocese of Dallas providing opportunities for fellowship, service, and outreach through a variety of initiatives, events, and financial and social activities that strengthen and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Dallas.
Vision
The Archangels fulfill this mission in the following ways:
- Serving others by providing support– spiritually, physically, or financially to Catholic Charities of Dallas.
- Forming a unique resource of diverse skills and talent.
- Providing a network of men through friendship and faith across the Diocese of Dallas.
Commitment
As a network of Catholic men, the Archangels are called to join together through unique, social, and philanthropic opportunities within our community– to share our faith with one another, to pray and work together, encourage others to join in our mission, and to support each other along the way.
